- Booking & Payment
1.1 Booking Process
- All bookings must be made through our official website (trekenya.com), email (info@trekenya.com), or our authorized agents.
- A booking is confirmed once we receive a deposit and send a confirmation email.
1.2 Payment Policy
- A 30% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your trek.
- The remaining 70% must be paid at least 30 days before departure.
- Late payments may result in cancellation or additional charges.
1.3 Payment Methods
- We accept bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
- Any additional bank or transaction charges will be borne by the client.
- Cancellation & Refund Policy
2.1 Client Cancellations
- More than 60 days before departure – Full refund minus transaction fees.
- 30–59 days before departure – 50% refund of the total cost.
- Less than 30 days before departure – No refund.
- No refunds for no-shows or early departures.
2.2 TreKenya Cancellations
- We reserve the right to cancel any trek due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, political unrest, safety concerns).
- Clients will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
- Travel & Medical Insurance
- All trekkers must have valid travel and medical insurance covering emergency evacuation, medical treatment, and trip cancellations.
- TreKenya is not liable for any medical emergencies, injuries, or personal losses.
- Health & Fitness Requirements
- Trekking can be physically demanding. Clients must ensure they are in good health before booking.
- Some treks require altitude acclimatization – consult your doctor before booking high-altitude treks.
- TreKenya reserves the right to refuse participation if a client is deemed unfit.
- Risks & Liability
- Trekking involves risks such as injuries, altitude sickness, wildlife encounters, and unpredictable weather.
- Clients participate at their own risk. TreKenya is not responsible for accidents, delays, or loss of personal belongings.
- Clients must follow the guide’s instructions at all times.
- Itinerary Changes
- TreKenya reserves the right to modify itineraries due to weather conditions, safety concerns, park regulations, or operational reasons.
- Alternative routes/accommodations may be provided where necessary.
- Code of Conduct
- Clients must respect local cultures, wildlife, and the environment.
- Littering, illegal activities, or disrespectful behavior will result in immediate termination of the trek without a refund.
- Equipment & Gear
- A full packing list will be provided upon booking.
- Clients are responsible for bringing proper trekking gear.
- Rental gear is available upon request.
- Privacy Policy
- TreKenya respects your privacy. Personal details collected during booking will only be used for trip arrangements and communication.
- We do not sell or share client information with third parties.
- Use of Images & Testimonials
- By booking a trek, you consent to TreKenya using photos/videos taken during the trip for promotional purposes unless otherwise requested.
- If you do not wish to be featured, please inform us in writing before departure.
- Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by Kenyan law.
- Any disputes will be resolved through negotiation or arbitration in Kenya.
